Interventional Oncology United Kingdom (IOUK)
The Interventional Oncology United Kingdom (IOUK) group is a special interest group within the British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR)
Mission statement:
The IOUK group formation will serve as a forum to foster engagement and collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders in deciding the future direction of IO travel e.g. teaching & training, research & innovation, service delivery and clinical governance.

Exclusive membership access
Not only does BSIR membership include exclusive access to the BSIR Website, including the Learning Zone, it also includes access to the BSIR WhatsApp community, including the IO sub-group, CIRSE membership (Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe), and access to the CVIR (CardioVascular and Interventional Radiology) journal, which now also features an IO edition.
Discounted rates to BSIR Events
As a BSIR Member, you will receive discounted registration fees to BSIR Events, including the BSIR IOUK Annual Meeting, as well as the BSIR Annual Scientific Meeting.
Research fund opportunities
For those interested in research the BSIR offers Educational, Research and Audit bursaries. Bursaries are offered to active BSIR members of any grade with an appropriate research proposal. Application processes and criteria apply.
BSIR and IOUK previous resource access
The BSIR Interventional Oncology Special Interest Committee organises the Annual IOUK Meeting. Programmes and sessions are aimed at Consultants, Trainees, Nurses and Radiographers currently working in IO and those interested in pursuing IO. There are dedicated programme sessions for Trainees and Juniors.
Previous events have been a great success according to feedback. We have had many prominent speakers from the field and great range of sponsors from medical industry. The links to the previous lectures and thousands more useful topics can be accessed via the website by current active members.
