Nurse and Radiographer Travelling Professor
The purpose of the Nurse and Radiographer Travelling Professor Award is to:
- promote the technical, clinical, and research opportunities available in IR for nurses and radiographers
- provide career guidance and mentorship opportunities for students interested in pursuing IR specialisation
- highlight the rewards of a career in interventional radiology
- foster high quality interventional radiology throughout the UK
The appointed travelling professor will visit a set number of universities, radiography and nursing schools, and training hospitals across the UK to deliver lectures or study days and undertake appropriate workshops as part of each visit, one of which is to be recorded over an agreed period.
The BSIR and Minnova Medical Foundation contribute matched funding for this professorship. The total sum covers travel expenses for the appointee, filming and administrative costs including the appointments process.
