BSIR ASM 2022 ESSAY SCHOLARSHIP SUBMISSION SYSTEM
BSIR ASM 2022 ESSAY TITLES
1) Describe the job of an interventional radiologist, as if you were addressing a member of the public with only a basic understanding of medicine.
2) Improving diversity of the NHS workforce is a national issue. How important is it to have diversity amongst interventional radiologists and what can we do to improve the diversity of our workforce?
ELIGIBILITY: Must be either a medical student or foundation doctor (Y1 or Y2).
BRIEF: Entrants are asked to provide an essay using the title above. Word count: 500 max. References are in addition and do not count towards total word count. Essays that exceed the word count will be rejected

- Relevance to BSIR & Interventional Radiology
Deadline: FRIDAY 5TH AUGUST 2022
Notification: OCTOBER 2022
PRIZES:
- .The 2 best Essays will be published on the BSIR website.
- A £300 award towards accommodation and travel (PRO RATA) to the BSIR ASM 2022 2nd - 4th November 2022
- Free Registration (funded by BSIR)
NOTES:
- Successful entrants are expected to arrange and pay for their own accommodation and travel.
- This will be reimbursed pro rata
- They will then submit a claim form with receipts, during or after the meeting, for reimbursement by BSIR up to the value of their award.
- Daily attendance checks will be carried out at the meeting am and pm . Evidence of attendance will be required for reimbursement.
