THE BRITISH SOCIETY OF INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY – ELECTIONS 2015

BSIR Council Officers

Nominations are invited for the following positions on the BSIR Council.

Vice President

The term of office on Council for Vice President is 5 years in total, two years as Vice President, two years as President and one year as Past President, in accordance with Clause 7.4 of the BSIR Constitutionhttp://www.bsir.org/society/bsir-constitution/

  • Nominations for Vice-President may be made by any full member of the Society.
  • Nominations shall be approved by a proposer and seconder.
  • The proposer and seconder must have view of candidacy’s manifesto / biographic note before endorsing nomination.
  • Nominees should be serving or previous Council members.
  • Election will be by electronic ballot, the winner being the nominee who achieves most votes.
  • In the event of a tie, a further vote will be carried out amongst eligible Council members.

Secretary

The term of office for the Secretary is 2 years. The Secretary shall be responsible for keeping a permanent record of the proceedings of the Society, maintaining and updating the register of members and dealing with all the correspondence of the Society, in accordance with Clause 7.5 of the BSIR Constitutionhttp://www.bsir.org/society/bsir-constitution/

  • Nominations for Secretary may be made by any full member of the Society.
  • Nominations shall be approved by a proposer and seconder.
  • The proposer and seconder must have view of candidacy’s manifesto / biographic note before endorsing nomination.
  • Election shall be by electronic ballot except that, if the number of nominees equals the number of places available, the nominees shall be deemed duly elected.
  • The results shall be formally announced at the AGM.

Treasurer

The Treasurer shall serve for a period of 4 years. He/she shall collect and be accountable for all funds of the Society and the production of annual statements of account as required by clause 11.1 of the Constitution and in accordance with Clause 7.6 of the BSIR Constitution

  • Nominations for Treasurer may be made by any full member of the Society.
  • Nominations shall be approved by a proposer and seconder.
  • The proposer and seconder must have view of candidacy’s manifesto / biographic note before endorsing nomination.
  • Election shall be by electronic ballot except that, if the number of nominees equals the number of places available, the nominees shall be deemed duly elected.
  • The results shall formally announced at the AGM.

NB

The nomination process will take place from Thursday 23rd April to Friday 29th May, if you are interested in being a nominee please ensure that you e-mail your manifesto / biographic note to your proposer and seconder before they approve your nomination. Manifestos / biographic notes can only be viewed on the website in the voting part of the election process and not in the nomination section.

Please ensure your proposer and seconder have enough time to endorse your nomination before the closing date of Friday 29th May 2015.

When completing the nomination form please insert a passport / thumbnail size picture to avoid any upload issues.
