Interventional Radiologists required to work as part of a planned exciting and developing West Yorkshire Vascular Network

Created - 20.12.2017

West Yorkshire is creating a network for vascular services that encompasses Calderdale & Huddersfield FT, Bradford Teaching Hospital FT, Airedale Hospital FT, Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and Mid Yorkshire Hospitals Trust.  With the support of NHS England, the trusts are working together to deliver the Network through their lead clinicians with Board and project support.

As we grow the network we are looking for enthusiastic Interventional Radiology Consultant(s) to be part of the team working across West Yorkshire.  We are recruiting to two posts in the network; particular expertise in vascular and non-vascular intervention is essential for both.

The first appointment will be made to the Calderdale and Huddersfield part of the network and the second to the Bradford part. Initially you would be based at the host organisation where there is a shared 1 in 6 on call system between Calderdale and Huddersfield and Bradford.  The commitment to developing a West Yorkshire network has also enabled us to offer the successful applicants the opportunity of sessions at the Leeds arterial centre in either research or clinical practice.

Once the network is implemented you would be expected to work as part of a single clinical team for the West Yorkshire Network and on more than one site in future.  This would include time working at both hub (arterial centre) sites and spoke sites, and will also offer the opportunity for sub-specialisation and developing other interests, such as research or clinical education.  Working as part of the network will also offer you support from the wider group of all consultants in the West Yorkshire network.

The closing date for applications is 12th January 2018, and further details can be found at: https://www.jobs.nhs.uk/xi/vacancy/e2dacaba845b68da1933935e578ed0d4/?vac_ref=914895237
