This is a short film explaining what we do.
The British Society of Interventional Radiology (BSIR) was founded in 1988 to provide a focus for the professional interests and activities of medical practitioners in this specialist field.
This (non-profit making) association comprises radiologists, physicians and other scientists interested in interventional radiology and cardiovascular imaging techniques. The aims and objectives of the society are the advancement of education in interventional radiology, and the provision of further facilities for education and research in interventional radiology.
BSIR works closely with other professional organisations which have complementary interests. There are BSIR representatives on the governing bodies of many of these to ensure that the interests of BSIR members are taken into account when formulating policy and future plans.
The objectives of the British Society of Interventional Radiology are the advancement of education in interventional radiology and assisting in the provision for further facilities for education and research in interventional radiology.
In furtherance of these objectives the Society may:
Foster relationships between all those engaged in and associated with interventional radiology
