What does the BSIR Council do?

The BSIR Council is the executive committee of the society responsible for developing the strategic direction for the society, ensuring financial viability, liaising with external societies and bodies e.g. NICE, and oversight of the work of each of the committees which undertake the core functions of the society. The day to day administration of the society is provided by the BSIR Council officers; the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer with the assistance of the BSIR administrator.

Who sits on  the BSIR Council?

The Council is chaired by the BSIR President supported by the BSIR administrator and the Council officers. There is representation from the chair of each of the standing committees and from CIRSE.

How often does the Council meet?

Council holds 3 physical meeting each year;  dates for meetings in 2010 are noted below. In addition, there are telephone conferences and exchanges of emails throughout the year.
